What

Like I said in "why", the reason for this website is to be a quick and dirty source for where to get started with artists when someone sees an abundance of releases and doesn't know where to get in.

Each post is accompanied by a playlist on Spotify.  That playlist will include the stuff that I like from that artist, some of those things will be referenced in the accompanying post on this website.  Some won't.  I choose spotify because I love it as a consumer (I hate it as a musician, but that story has already been told elsewhere).

Disclaimer

I don't claim to be an authority.  I will make mistakes.  These posts are written in a stream of consciousness manner, and I will occasionally get something wrong.  Please post a comment and I will make corrections.  There is no need to be a dick about it.  I won't be a dick about, you won't be a dick about it.

This is not intended to be a comprehensive writeup on these artists, you can go to wikipedia for that or a number of other places,  this is a quick and dirty reference to getting started with some great music that you, for whatever reason, have decided to explore.

These are just my opinions.  Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one.  I am not going to argue with you if you decide to try that, you can go to facebook or some other "shithole website" like that and argue with people.  I don't give a shit, this a service I am providing because I think there is a need for it. It's probably already being done better elsewhere, but like I said I don't give a shit.  The internet is exhausting and it can go fuck itself as far as I am concerned.

ok the practical stuff:

Album Titles are underlined.

Song titles are italicized.

As far as links go, until someone decides to pay me for clicks, I will be using imdb.com for movie links, and I will link to the Spotify playlist that accompanies the post.  I will not link to individual songs because that is fucking boring.  You need to go look this shit up yourself.  Since a lot of what I know was released on vinyl or cd,  I suggest exploring whole albums, but you do you.
